  The nature that surrounds it...

Monte Cucco is one of the most spectacular and valuable area of the Appennini mountains. Its environment has a great cultural, didactic and touristic significance. Monte Cucco mountain and the surrounding area have been a protected Natural Park since 1995; it is known for its underground natural water, karst caves (the deepes and widest in Europe) and for the clean water-ways and huge forests of beech trees.
In the park live wolves, eagles, hawks, wild boars and wild hares.

Along its paths on the surface and the underground of the mountains, generations of passionate people have developed the knowledge and love for this place in the natural heart of the Appennini mountains. They contribuited to create the myth of the "small and big mountain" that all includes and inspires, an uncontaminated gym for the spirit and intellect. For over five centuries the area of Monte Cucco and in particular its caves has been under scientific research, very important for the history of natural sciences.

There is also a system of caves easily accessible even to the less expert visitors. It refers to a very impressive course of great beauty which includes "the White Cave, the Fairies Cave, the Wood's Abyss, the Hidden Cave and the Dragon Cave, fantastic caverns opened on enchanted sceneries.
