  What you can do

During the day, you can entertain yourself with horse-back riding, and walks: hiking, trekking, riding Mountain-Bikes cross-country through the mountains or visiting the fascinating caves of Monte Cucco.

Nearby you can also reach the little town of Costacciaro, and visit the'old castle (Castrum Costacciarii), the fascinating historical centre and some interesting monuments such as:
  • Saint Francis Church, was built around the middle of XIII century; the Roman front is made with calcareous stones from Monte Cucco and is characterized by a very precious portal and rose window; under the high altar are preserved the mortal remains of "Beato Tomasso" a monk, patron of Costacciaro;
  • The Civic Tower at the entrance of the town, built around the same century, is perfectly kept;
  • The Coeva Tower in "Via della Roccaccia", is part of a defense system of surrounding walls and has been recently restored;
  • TheRivellino is a defence bastion shaped like a ship bow, has been projected and realized at the end of XV century by a military architect Francesco Di Giorgio Martini from Siena, appointed by the Duke of Urbino Federico II. This architect has also realized the fortress of Mondavio, Sassocorvaro, San Leo and other important architectonic works.

The area around the farm is an ideal space to practice outdoor sports: speleology, hang gliding and cross-country skiing. There are hundreds of miles of paths for mountain-bike and trekking.

Not far (a few minutes by car) you could visit the enchanting medieval towns of Gubbio, Gualdo Tadino and Fabriano, full of history, architecture and good cuisine and wine.

In the afternoon you can relax and sunbathing around the swimming pool, in the lovely garden of the farm house while in the evening you can spend your time in the library with a good book, go into the games room to play a round of biliards or you can simply enjoy the quiet that surrounds you.
